product photographyWhen your business is selling tangible goods or products, the product photography must give the product character and dimension. Whether large or small your products need precision lighting to bring out details and texture. Some textures may be dull and non-reflective like fabric, others may be highly reflective like sunglasses or chrome wheels, and still others may be transparent like glassware or beverage bottles. Each of these situations requires skill to properly light the subject and convey the desired mood. But even beyond lighting, there is placement, camera angle, and depth of field which must come together to develop the creative concept. Once photographed, the images can be used for catalog, advertising and other print/digital media. Sam Dobrow has taken his experience in photographing people and still life in both studio and natural light situations to a new level of commercial creativity. He approaches product photography with a sense of artistic creativity. Sam attempts to reflect human nature and characteristics in the products he photographs.
